Schultheis Family

Have I mentioned before how much I love my clients? :) I photographed this family in the early summer this year, I am so happy they came back to me for Fall photos. Here are my picks from this session.

To say I love this family would be an understatement. Yes I love all of my clients, new and old, but there are some that are so so special to me. Especially those who have been with me from the very beginning, this is one of those families. I have watched Brody grow and change and hope to be able to for years to come. We did their family session and then mom and dad decided to have some taken by themselves. Well Brody was going to have none of that! He decided he was going to be in those as well!

this is when he snuck in..and then below, he cuddles up! :)

Family session plus 1!

I had double duty on Saturday, but the more the merrier, right? I was to take their sister's photos, but something came up. She decided to give her session to her sisters for Xmas. What a great idea! Here are my pics from their fun session!

Halbert Family

So lucky to have amazing clients. This family I have been photographing for over a year. Documenting Tessa's life as she grows, now she is a big sis and I have the opportunity to document Ava's life as well. Beautiful people...

We started at Ride On St Louis in Kimmswick, which is an amazing place. Gorgeous grounds, horses, the river right there. Then went to a near by bridge in Kimmswick. Tears were shed, as you will see, but then we got happy again. :) Here are my picks from this session.

Free senior session!

So, I'm totally feeling generous and wanting to book some seniors for the Spring. I'm giving away ONE free senior session. I will waive the session fee and you will get 30% off of your print order. All you have to do to apply is comment here on the blog with your name and email or over at FB on my business page under the post pertaining to this with your name. You will have a week to comment and then I'll put all the names in a "hat" and randomly draw one name out. We will then schedule you for a session in either late March or April.

Well, in terms of working to get together, this session wins the award for most reschedules. :) We were first scheduled in August, one of those 100 weeks, we rescheduled. The next date was still a little hot. The next rescheduled date we were rained out. Fourth try and we had gorgeous weather! I had so much fun with this family, Keiler is a senior at Parkway South in St Louis. I was honored to go that far to do a senior, I hope that he passes the word along and maybe this spring I will get some more come "south" to see me.

On Wednesday night I had the honor of photographing Olivia for her senior pictures. She is a natural, and so talented, she brought her guitar and her pup, who I fell in love with and now am desperately wanting a basset. I've been so fortunate this fall to be able to photograph such beautiful girls... here are some of my favorites.

Seniors Kayla and Marty

I did Kayla and Marty's session at the covered bridge in Hillsboro. It is such a cool place, besides the covered bridge aspect, there is graffiti all inside of the bridge, I know that some call it vandalism, I call it art! :) Here are my pics and a sneak peek for them from their session.

Muse - A source of inspiration. As an artist, we all need inspiration, it can come from many sources. I tend to pull mine from clients. Especially if I have taken their photos before, I might come up with an idea or see something I want to try and a particular client will come to mind. So, Liz and I scheduled our shoot for yesterday, I was looking forward to a sunny shoot, a lot of flare and some awesome back lighting and then the clouds rolled in. :| So I didn't get discouraged, I thought to myself, if I am worth anything as an artist I need to be able to take what is handed to me and work with it and I did. We didn't get sun, but we at least had a break in the rain and we were lucky enough to shoot at a time when the leaves are at their peak. I will be doing two seperate posts for this session because I know there will be many I want to show off. Here is round 1 of my session with my "muse" Liz.

I think I must have the best clients in the world. So many repeat clients, I have the opportunity to watch their children grow over the years. I have been photographing Dax since he was just a little guy, around 4 months old. He has changed so much since then, but one thing remains the same, he has the best blue eyes ever. Here are some of my favs from my session with him and his beautiful family last night.

The Guffey Family

This family is so near and dear to my heart. Not only because they are absolutely fabulous people, but because they have gone through so much as a family, their little one, Jax, had to have a new liver. So a year ago when I photographed him, he was not as happy and healthy as he was today. It was so good to see him  healthy... So many favorites from this fun session!

Ryder was completely unsure of me when we started his session last night. He would give me a few quick looks, but as soon as he heard my shutter click he would move fast. Finally at the end, we took a walk away from mom and dad and he started giving me a bit more eye contact and the big trick at the end was to snap one and then let him see himself on my camera. Such a cutie he is, here are my picks from his session.

I took Lauren's senior pics on Wednesday. We did an early session and I was able to utilize the morning light instead of the evening light, something new and different, which I liked. I am going to go ahead and post her sneak peek.

Laura's session started out a little chilly...but we worked around it and did good, I think. :) Such a sweetie she is, and so cute. Here are my picks from her session.

Carter was absolutely not sure about me at all at the beginning of his session on Saturday. It took a bit, but he finally did warm up to me...with the help of a really big wooly worm. :D Enjoy

Snoopy, Woodstock and Charlie Brown

I have photographed these three so many times and it gets better each time! :) They are the cutest, I have thoroughly enjoyed watching them grow and change this far. Their moms brought their Halloween costumes out, we had to do a few in those. Here are my pics from this session.

In Love

My session on Thursday was with Natalie and her husband Nathan. The session is an anniversary present to themselves, which I think is great. I wish more couples would come to me, it is something, that once you have kids, will totally be thrown to the way side because you get busy, life gets in the way, etc. Here are some of my picks from this session.
