Dyllon|senior|NorthCountyHighSchool|2014 {missouri senior portrait photographer}

Dyllon was such a good sport for me! We had gotten rained out two weeks prior, in anticipation of MORE rain on this day, I scheduled him early on Sunday morning, not thinking that Prom was the night before. Well, we got it in and he was great! Here is a quick peek into his senior session!

Oh this girl..... this girl is beautiful with a personality to match. We did the first part of her session in February and it was COLD... but she was a trooper. The day of part two the weather was perfect, the sun was perfect, it really was an ideal day. We had a beautiful location and a beautiful model, couldn't ask for more! It was so hard narrowing down what photos to showcase because I loved each photo I edited. That is why I love seniors, more creative freedom. Here is a huge peek into her second session. Enjoy!

The Rizo Family {Missouri Family Photographer}

When I decided to turn away from newborns, it was purely out of me not feeling confident in posing, set up, etc. But... then a new trend appeared, lifestyle newborn, out of your home, not a lot of posing baby, more real moments... something that I LOVE. I am a huge fan of real moments, in your home, capturing your family being a family. So I decided to try it again but with this approach and I feel SO much more confident in my work and am in love with this way of photographing a new addition. I have four more newborns coming up before June. Stay tuned on some tips for your newborn session at the end!

Allyn and Gustavo welcomed Leo on March 30. He is absolutely perfect. Such a beautiful little boy.. I'm so honored to have come into their home and captured this for them. Mia is a sweet big sister who wants to help a lot... :) Perfect family of four, a pretty big peek into this session.

Preparing for your newborn shoot;

Because I shoot without a light set up and use natural light, try to choose a room (or rooms) that have a lot of light coming in, open the blinds or curtains before I arrive.

Have any clothes or blankets ready for use, baby fed just before I get there or as I'm getting there to make for a sleepy, happy subject. :) If we are doing naked baby pics, loosen their diaper just a little before I arrive, this will prevent diaper lines.

Decide before I get there if we are doing everyone or just baby. Especially as a newborn, I love to get parents involved. It shows the love they have for this new little addition.

Have in mind what you want out of the shoot, specific shots you may want. And normally, I do newborns within the first 10 days of being born, so plan ahead! :)

The Mullinax Family {Missouri Family Photographer}

I'm a little biased... because these beautiful people are related to me, but... I think they are pretty fabulous. Their kids make us laugh, especially big sis... the entire time. Here is their sneak peek. :)

Addy turns TEN! {Missouri Children's Photographer}

Oh these two girls... be still my heart. I love them so, we dance together, I love their mother, she is such an inspiration to me as a mother. These girls are polite, fun and just good girls. So whever I have a session with them, my girls always want to tag along. We did a group shot.... had to, such a cool location. Enjoy the sneak peek into this colorful session!
